3-D Image-Guided NIR Absorption and Scatter Tomography using Boundary Element Method

Abstract

A boundary element method (BEM) was developed for image-guided NIR tomography, using only surface discretization. Fluence was calculated on a patient specific mesh, and reconstruction recovered optical properties (mean error = 6%) in multi-layered media.
