Abstract

Darkfield microspectroscopy enables detailed studies of the plasmonic features of noble metal nanoparticles. Shifts of the plasmon resonance of individual nanoparticles can be exploited for sensing applications or to achieve molecular imaging using targeted immunolabelling.
