Raman Spectroscopic Evaluation of the Fixation and Rehydration of Single Human Platelets

Abstract

We report on the use of Raman tweezers spectroscopy for the characterization and identification of human platelets for long-term freeze-dried preservation. The paraformaldehyde- fixed, lyophilized and rehydrated platelet samples were spectrally analyzed.
