Use of fluorescence and near-infrared spectroscopies for noninvasive measurement of skin-collagen Advanced Glycation Endproducts: a feasibility study

Abstract

A porcine dermis model was used to assess the potential for noninvasive spectroscopic quantitation of skin-collagen Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGEs). Results indicate that noninvasive measurements of skin fluorescence should be useful for diabetes screening.
