Mie Scattering Parameter Estimation in Near-Infrared Tomographic Breast Imaging

Abstract

The Mie-type scattering parameters were estimated from NIR tomography of breast tissue. Results show that the average particle size and the number density can be estimated from bulk tissue transport scattering measurements at discrete wavelengths.
