Regularization of diffuse optical tomography images by envelope guided conjugate gradients

Abstract

We have implemented a spatially variant regularization method for nonlinear conjugate gradient (CG) based DOT that optimizes the regularization parameter without the use of Tikhonov L-curve. The regularization parameter is adjusted adaptively by monitoring the change of the approximate L-curves generated during CG-iterations.
