Optical coherence tomography of breast cancer: feasibility for surgical guidance

Abstract

We present the use of OCT for breast cancer imaging. In situ rat mammary and excised human breast tumors were imaged. The feasibility of OCT for applications in surgical oncology of the breast is discussed.
