Phase-shifted gratings and negative-index gratings fabricated by 800 nm femtosecond laser overexposure

Abstract

Polarization dependent phase-shifted fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) were first fabricated with 800 nm femtosecond laser overexposure and a uniform phase mask. Negative-index FBGs with enhanced thermal stabilities were further created by thermal regeneration.
