Ultrafast (THz-bandwidth) Photonic Hilbert Transformer Based On a Fiber Bragg Grating in Transmission

Abstract

A fiber-based photonic Hilbert transformer with an unprecedented 2.5 THz bandwidth is presented, using a feasible linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating (FBG) in transmission. Critical parameters are compared considering different FBG-implementations.
