Ultrafast optical pulse shaping by exploiting the first-order Born approximation in long period gratings

Abstract

A novel general approach for THz-bandwidth optical filter synthesis, particularly interesting for ultrafast optical pulse shaping, based on the first-order Born approximation in long period gratings is proposed and numerically validated.
