Nonlinear Long-Period Fiber Grating Coupler

Abstract

The evanescent coupling dynamics between two nonlinear long-period fiber gratings has been theoretically investigated. The results of the calculations reveal intriguing phenomena that are useful for optical power combining, dividing, and optical mode converting.
