Long period fiber grating polarizer written on photonic crystal fiber

Abstract

An in-fiber polarizer based on a long period fiber grating on photonic crystal fiber is presnted. It exhibits a high polarization extinction ratio of more than 20dB and a low temperature sensitivity of 3.9pm/°C.
