Cladding Reduced Long-Period Grating In-Fiber Michelson Interferometer as Immunosensor

Abstract

A sensitivity enhanced long period grating Michelson interferometer with diameter reduced cladding on fiber arm has been developed as an antibody/antigen immunosensor sensor. Stepwise and dynamic immunoassay with such a device shows 9-fold sensitivity increase.
