The importance of lattice relaxation for determination of the structure and properties of oxygen vacancy in quartz

Abstract

We have studied the effect of the lattice relaxation on properties of the neutral oxygen vacancy in quartz. The strong dependence of the defect properties on the radius of the relaxed region has been demonstrated.
