Novel Multimode Fiber for Narrowband Bragg Grating Response

Abstract

We analyze, using finite element methods, a multimode fiber with propagation properties allowing a narrowband Bragg grating response. Simulations indicate a FWHM bandwidth of 10−4λ is possible when modes with low harmonic parameter are excited.
