Abstract

Since the discovery of photosensitivity in optical fibres by Hill and co-workers in 1978, many techniques have been developed to enhance the UV response of germanosilicate fibres [1]: among post-fabrication processes on Ge-doped fibres hydrogen loading and flame brushing are the most common.
