Abstract

Stable and self-starting mode-locking of a Tm:KLu(WO4)2 laser using a single-walled carbon nanotubes based saturable absorber is demonstrated generating ~10-ps pulses at 1.94 µm with powers up to 220 mW at 126 MHz.
