Abstract
The merits of common nonlinear crystals for frequency doubling at various pulse durations in single-shot régime are discussed. The choice of KDP for short pulses is illustrated with 86% conversion efficiency of 100 J 1 ns and 3 ns-pulses. With 12 ns-long pulses, 217 J of green radiation was generated in LBO with efficiency > 90%.
