Free Standing Single Crystal LiNbO3 Micro-wires Fabricated by Ion Slicing, Transferred and Bonded to SiO2/Si

Abstract

Free standing mm long, 1 micron crystalline LiNbO3 micro-wires have been obtained by ion-slicing. They can be lifted, positioned, and bonded onto SiO2/Si. This is a promising approach for bringing LiNbO3 into the SOI technology
