Abstract

We report on nonlinear pulse compression by more than a factor of 10 in a 200 µm xenon-filled hollow fiber. Few hundred µJ pulses from a fiber CPA system are spectrally broadened and compressed by a chirped mirror compressor resulting in sub-60 fs pulses at repetition rates up to 100 kHz.
