Pulsing dynamics in Ytterbium based chirped-pulse oscillators

Abstract

The properties of passively mode-locked chirped-pulse oscillators based on Ytterbium doped gain media are studied theoretically along with experimental data. Predictions about potential future pulse energies up to 20µJ and possible experimental challenges are discussed.
