Abstract

Single-walled carbon nanotube saturable absorbers were designed and characterized (modulation depth <0.5%, relaxation time <450 fs) for passive mode-locking near 1 µm. Pulses of 115 fs were generated at 1048 nm with an Yb:KLuW laser.
