Passively Mode-Locked Erbium-Doped Fiber Oscillator with Pulse Energies above 10 nJ

Abstract

We report on an erbium-doped fiber oscillator mode-locked by nonlinear polarization rotation operating in the normal dispersion regime. The laser generated highly-stretched pulses with energies above 10 nJ externally compressed to below 75 fs.
