Phase Locking of a Pulsed Fiber Amplifier

Abstract

The 180-μJ, 1-nsec output of a pulsed fiber amplifier is phase locked to a master oscillator. As a precursor step for coherent beam combination, chirp is reproducible pulse to pulse and phase is robustly locked.
