High-peak-power pulsed fiber lasers

Abstract

We describe pulsed fiber-based optical sources relying on very-large-core fibers, which attain high peak power (up to multiple megawatts) and pulse energy (up to multiple millijoules), while retaining excellent beam quality and narrow spectral linewidth.
