High energy direct amplification of femtosecond pulse in a highly non-linear fiber amplifier

Abstract

We report the direct amplification of femtoseconde pulses to 870 nJ, 49 fs, 12 MW and 1.25 μJ, 70 fs, 16 MW from a single stage stretcher-free rod-type fiber amplifier setup.
