Abstract

We report on an optical synchronized picosecond pump laser for optical parametric amplifiers based on a Yb:YAG thin-disk regenerative amplifier. At 10 kHz repetition rate pulse energies of 4.5 mJ with 6.8 ps pulse duration were achieved.
