Monolithic Waveguide-Lasers Created in Bulk Glass Using the Direct Write Technique

Abstract

We report the creation of monolithic waveguide-lasers created using femtosecond laser direct writing. Utilizing waveguide-Bragg gratings written within the doped guide structure the laser produced narrow linewidth output in the C-band.
