Abstract

Core-clad-type composite structures in GdVO4 single crystals were directly fabricated by single-crystal-growth techniques. The double die EFG method enables 3-mm core of Nd:GdVO4 inside 5-mm clad. Laser oscillation in our samples was successfully demonstrated.
