900 nm Emission of a Nd:ASL Laser Pumped by an Extended-Cavity Tapered Laser Diode

Abstract

We describe here the use of a 798-nm-stabilized high-brightness tapered laser diode to pump a Nd:ASL crystal for 900 nm laser operation. An output power of 150 mW is obtained.
