New nonlinear optical crystal for UV light source: Calcium Fluoroborate

Abstract

Single crystals of calcium fluoroborate, Ca5(BO3)3F have been grown by flux method. The refractive indices were measured by the minimum deviation technique and fitted to the Sellmeier equations. SHG and THG phase matching are discussed.
