Abstract

Ceramic Nd:YAG dual-frequency lasers offer superior performance as photonic-based radio frequency sources over crystalline Nd:YAG-based dual-frequency lasers, with 6 dB increase in the self-heterodyne signal power, and a continuous frequency tuning exceeding 3.5 GHz.
