Spectroscopy And Laser Performance Of A Pulsed Tm:Germanate Fiber Laser

Abstract

Tm:germanate, a novel fiber laser, was predicted to make efficient lasers when pumped with 0.792 μm diodes because of their low phonon energies. Spectroscopic and pulsed laser performance showing a quantum efficiency of 1.5 are presented.
