Spectroscopy and Continuous-wave Diode-pumped Laser Operation of Er3+,Yb3+:YVO4 Single Crystal

Abstract

We report on the spectroscopic properties, energy transfer and CW laser operation of a diode-pumped Er,Yb:YVO4 laser. Output power of 170 mW with slope efficiency of 8% with respect to absorbed pump power was demonstrated.
