Abstract
A three-stage, Ti:sapphire oscillator-amplifier laser system has been developed. The output pulses of the system are further shortened by broadening the spectrum of in a Neon filled hollow-fiber. The moderately chirped output pulses, exciting the fiber, are finally compressed with broadband chirped-mirrors to 6-fs with a pulse energy of 1 mJ, at a repetition rate of 1 kHz.
