Abstract

Difference Frequency Generation of a frequency doubled Titanium: Sapphire laser and a Nd:YAG laser provides tunable output in the spectral range between 520 nm and 680 nm. Using BBO crystals, conversion efficiencies of up to 32% have been achieved. These experimental results show a high accordance to the numerical predictions of a FEM-simulation program and to our knowledge clearly exceeds the efficiency obtained with comparable setups so far.
