Diode-pumped femtosecond laser oscillator with cavity dumping

Abstract

A diode pumped self starting Yb:glass femtosecond laser oscillator with electro-optical cavity dumping generates pulses with energies exceeding 150nJ at a rate up to 180kHz. This laser forms a potential compact laser source for micromachining applications.
