Abstract

We demonstrate compact, passively fundamental-mode-locked Er:Yb:glass lasers with 10 GHz, 25 GHz , 40 GHz, and 50 GHz repetition rates. They can serve as pulse generators for future high-speed RZ transmission systems or as multi-wavelength sources locked to the ITU grid.
