Abstract

We review the development and application of all-solid-state laser systems for refractive surgery of human eyes. LASIK and PRK procedures that were done with our system show excellent clinical results concerning safety, efficacy and reliability of correction using this new approach to LVC. We present data that imply smooth ablation profiles, very good corrections, exceptionally fast wound healing, and the potential for customized ablation.
