Abstract

We have fabricated the highly concentrated Nd:Gd3Ga5O12 single crystals, and investigated the spectroscopic properties of them. It was also found that Nd:Gd3Ga5O12 is essentially a disordered crystal, because all Gd3+ ions in Gd3Ga3O 12 crystals could be replaced to Nd3+, such as Nd3Ga5O12.
