Abstract
A 10 mJ output power was obtained by using a diode-pumped chirped-pulse regenerative amplifier with a liquid-nitrogen cooled Yb:LiYF4 crystal. The pump duration as short as 1 ms would enable 1 kHz repetition rate with a continuous wave pump. The pulse duration compressed in time by parallel grating pair was about 800 fs with 6 mJ output power.
