Refined Sellmeier equation for the extraordinary wave in MgO doped stoichiometric LiTaO3

Abstract

We report the experimental results for the temperature-dependent quasi-phase-matched SHG, SFG, and OPG wavelengths of periodically poled 1.0 mol.% MgO doped stoichiometric LiTaO3 in the 0.308-4.87 m range. The refined Sellmeier equation for the extraordinary wave of MgO:SLT, which can reproduce well our observed values at 22℃ is presented. In addition, the temperature tuning curves of these quasi-phase-matching conditions were also obtained between 22℃ and 160℃.
