Watt-level visible laser emission in a double-clad praseodymium-doped fluoride fiber

Abstract

We report the demonstration of a watt-level single-mode praseodymium-doped fluoride fiber laser emitting at 635 nm. The fiber laser is pumped by a high-power multimode GaN laser diode.
