Generation and Characterization of Polarized Supercontinuum Pulses from ZBLAN Fibers Pumped by Femtosecond 2 µm Pulses from a Regenerative Amplifier

Abstract

We have demonstrated polarized supercontinuum generation in a polarization-maintained ZBLAN fiber pumped by 2 μm pulses from a regenerative amplifier. The supercontinuum pulses have been characterized using cross-correlation frequency-resolved optical gating.
