Abstract
A cryogenic Yb:YAG composite-thin-disk amplifier produced one-joule diffraction limited pulses at 200 Hz and 50% optical-to-optical efficiency. As of this writing 20 hours in operation have been compiled recording < 0.5%-power and < 30 µrad pointing stability.
