Advantages of noncritical modal quasi-phase-matching in χ2 based nonlinear integrated optics devices

Abstract

Combining quasi-phase-matching and modal phase-matching allows designing nonlinear devices presenting a noncritical phase-matching configuration. Presenting numerical and experimental studies dedicated to Soft Proton Exchanged waveguides on PPLN, we illustrate he advantages of this configuration.
