Nonlinear pulse compression in single-mode Yb-doped hybrid fiber with high anomalous dispersion at 1.064 μm

Abstract

We demonstrate nonlinear pulse compression down to 250 fs and peak power of up to 3 kW using newly developed asymptotically single-mode Yb-doped hybrid fiber with extremely high (~400 ps/(nmkm)) anomalous dispersion at 1.064 μm.
