Pulse fragmentation and multi-soliton states in mid-infrared mode-locked fiber laser

Abstract

We observe, in a highly-pumped 2.8 μm mode-locked fiber laser, a variety of stationary multi-soliton states, including phase-locked soliton-pair and soliton-triplet states and stable harmonic mode-locking at two and three times the round-trip frequency.
