High Performance Q-switched Ho:CaYAlO4 Laser at 2.1 μm

Abstract

We report on Q-switched Ho:CaYAlO4 laser pumped by a Tm:fiber laser. A maximum pulse energy of 1.2 mJ and a minimum pulse width of 20.5 ns were achieved, with the peak power of 60.6 kW.
