Functionally Graded Solid-State Laser Gain Media Fabricated by Direct Ink Write and Ceramic Processing

Abstract

Transparent ceramic fabrication can offer a route to functionally structured solid-state laser gain media. We report here on high transparency, fully-dense transparent optical ceramics with compositional gradients, fabricated by direct ink write (DIW) methods.
